Supreme Court showers veiled praise on Maoists Act’s for Justice

Hang corrupt people in public: SC

What the supreme court is saying today is what Maoists
have been doing for decades. It’s a well know fact that the
Maoists today run thousands of Jan Adalat’s (People’s courts )
all over the country and that they are immensely
popular among the masses because they promise
speedy justice , cost nothing and are always fair.
The accused are always given time to defend themselves

At the end of the trial the sentence is awarded and carried out

In large parts of the country people don’t visit government courts
for it has been taken over by leeches who suck the blood out of
the hapless people.

All power to the Maoists !

Hang corrupt people in public: SC

New Delhi: Observing that everyone wants to loot India, the Supreme Court on Wednesday said the only way to rid the country of corrupt elements was to hang a few of them in full public view.

“The only way to rid the country of corruption is to hang a few of you on the lamp post. The law does not permit us to do it but otherwise we would prefer to hang people like you to the lamp post,” a Bench of Justices S B Sinha and Markandeya Katju was quoted by PTI as saying.

The Bench made the statement while hearing the bail application of Braj Bhushan Prasad, a dismissed employee of Bihar government for his alleged involvement in the Rs 1,000 crore fodder scam.

Courts of late has been hearing many cases that have generated widespread public interest and have evoked the public’s outrage including the Jessica Lall murder case, the Nitish Katara case and the Priyadarshini Mattoo rape and murder case.

“Everywhere, we have corruption. Nothing is free from corruption. Everybody wants to loot this country. The only solution for this menace is to hang some people in the public so that it acts as a deterrent on others,” Justice Katju was further quoted as saying.

We deny any involment of Maoists in killing of JMM MP: RDF

Ranchi, March 7 – The mystery over the sensational murder of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha – MP Sunil Mahato has deepened with few takers for the theory that Maoists were responsible, notwithstanding posters that have come up in some villages.

The Communist Party of India-Maoist – Tuesday seemed to have claimed responsibility for Mahato and four others in Jamshedpur Sunday through posters that stated: ‘We have avenged the killing of nine Maoist members in Lango village. Sunil Mahato had supported the killing of Maoist activists.’

Rural Development Minister Enos Ekka agreed: ‘I come from a Maoist-dominated area and I understand the functioning of Maoists. They don’t claim responsibility after a day of the incident. And the posters have appeared far away from the scene of the crime.’

Chief Minister Madhu Koda said the police was trying to find out the authenticity of the posters.

The contradictory statements from Maoist groups have only added to the intrigue.

Revolutionary Democratic Front -, a frontal organisation of CPI-Maoist, has even denied any involvement of Maoists in the killing of JMM MP.

‘We have no role in the killing of JMM MP. We condemn such incidents,’ Jeetan Marandi, a senior rank activist of RDF, had said soon after the killing.

Not ruling out political rivalry as a possible motive, police here feel the mafia could have done the job and then pasted the posters to divert attention from themselves.

The state government has recommended a Central Bureau of Investigation – inquiry into the murders
